The event ‘Málaga Cruise Days’ will immerse local citizens in the world of cruising again next september
The Palmeral de las Sorpresas will once again transform into the deck of a large cruise ship to celebrate Málaga Cruise Days from September 21st to 23rd. In its first edition held in 2022, the event witnessed broad citizen participation, with over 110,000 visitors. Its main goal is to introduce the world of cruising to the general public, which has always warmly embraced this form of tourism in Málaga.
For this reason, representatives from the port and destination, including the Port Authority, the Tourism Board of the Málaga City Council, Turismo y Planificación Costa del Sol, the Andalusian Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, with the support of Suncruise Andalucía, Fundación Málagaport, and Málaga Cruise Port, decided to hold a new edition so that citizens and visitors can enjoy the activities offered during a cruise trip in a privileged seaside setting.
The event’s organizers are finalizing an evening program (from 6 PM to 11 PM) suitable for all audiences, which includes musical performances, tastings, children’s entertainment, a gastronomic fair, a cruise forum, and other activities that will be announced later.
Furthermore, some of the most significant cruise companies will have their own stands at Málaga Cruise Days, where visitors can learn about the wide range of cruise trips and their most exciting itineraries.
This citizen event will continue the initiative that began in 2022, in conjunction with the Seatrade Cruise Med professional fair. It will serve as a prelude to a new season in which, apart from maintaining contacts with cruise companies by attending other industry events, the Seatrade organization and the local port-destination team will focus on organizing this professional event again, expected to be held in September 2024 alongside the already established Málaga Cruise Days edition.
