On April 30, Fundación Malagaport and Malaga Cruise Port jointly held the CLIA educational activity “All Aboard!” at CEIP Cristo de Mena in Málaga, an initiative designed to introduce the cruise industry to young people.
During a two-hour session, 16 fifth-grade students, aged 11 to 12, were able to discover in a practical and fun way the wide variety of professions that exist on board a cruise ship.
Through a role-playing game, the students portrayed different job roles, such as captain, bridge and deck crew, port agent, environmental officer, medical team, kitchen staff, shore excursion guides, and entertainment staff, among others. Additionally, during the activity, fundamental values of life on board were shared, such as teamwork, diversity, respect for other cultures, sustainability, and an interest in the cruise industry.
This experience allowed the students to understand that behind every cruise port call there are many people working in coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly. It was a very positive day that reinforces Malaga Cruise Port’s commitment to raising awareness of the maritime-port sector, connecting with the local community, and bringing the port closer to new generations.
At Malaga Cruise Port, we continue moving towards a cleaner and more responsible future.
We have introduced a 100% electric van into our operations, reducing CO₂ emissions and contributing to a more sustainable port environment.
This new vehicle reinforces our commitment to green mobility and environmental protection, in line with global sustainability goals.
