Malaga sets a new standard for luxury cruising
On March 16th, 2026, Malaga hosted the christening of Four Seasons I, the first vessel of Four Seasons Yachts, marking a landmark moment for the luxury cruise sector. The city was chosen for this highly symbolic event, which formed part of a full-week operation including a three-day technical call, two embarkations, one debarkation and an exclusive christening ceremony attended by 150 guests. The owners of Four Seasons, acting as godparents, were present in Malaga alongside the CEO of Four Seasons and the CEO of Four Seasons Yachts. The operation required dedicated white glove services and a high level of coordination between the ship, the appointed agents, Malaga Cruise Port and the Port Authority. From technical requirements to guest movements and event logistics, every detail was handled with precision, discretion and care, in line with the standards expected by one of the world’s leading luxury hospitality brands. The cruise line expressed a high level of satisfaction, confirming that expectations were successfully met throughout the call.
